Let’s fly to Australia!

Bon Voyage! 

What a unique building! The shape is like shells or the sail of a yacht.

It’s Sydney Opera House.

We can enjoy performing arts there, like opera, concerts, musicals etc!


【Sydney Opera House】
1. Sit with your legs stretched.
2. Bend your left(right) knee. Put your left(right) foot over your right(left) foot.
3. Straighten your back. Put your right(left) elbow on your left(right) leg.
4. Twist to the left(right) side.

Wow, the huge rock is shining in the sun.
Beautiful.

It’s Ayers Rock, called ‘Uluru’ in aboriginal language.

It stands 348 metres high and has a circumference of 9.4 km.


【Ayers Rock pose】
1. Sit down with your knees bent.
2. Put your feet hip width apart.
3. Place your hands behind, shoulder width apart. Your wrists turn outward.
3. Slowly lift your bottom.

A koala is hanging on a tree. 

So adorable!


【Koala pose】
1. Sit down with your knees bent.
2. Put your feet up. Your lower legs are parallel to the floor.
3. Hold your hands under your legs.

There are many kangaroos here. 

Look!

A baby kangaroo is in mommy’s pouch!

Must be comfortable!


【Kangaroo pose】
1. Stand straight.
2. Step your left(right) foot back widely.
3. Bend your right(left) knee.
4. Make kangaroo’s hands in front of your chest.

What are those pointed rocks in the desert? They have unique shapes!
It’s like another planet!

Those are ‘The Pinnacles’. In ancient times, this area used to be under the sea.


【The Pinnacles pose】
1. Lie on your back.
2. Raise your legs.
3. Support your lower back with hands, and lift your bottom upward.

We arrived at the grape field! 

It’s a vast land!

The grapes are for wine. 

There are many vineyards in Australia.


【Grape pose】
1. Stand with your feet wide apart.
2. Bend forward from your hip.
3. Place your right(left) hand on the ground. Raise your left(right) hand.

What’s that?
That is like a small dragon!

It’s a frilled lizard. They live in the northern part of Australia.

When they feel danger, they open their frill around their neck against the enemy.

1. Sit with your legs extended.
2. Lift your legs upward.
3. Open your legs.

What can you see?

Look! What’s that animal?

It has a flat bill like a duck, webbed feet like an otter and a big tail like a beaver!

I’ve never seen it!

It’s a platypus.
The female platypus lays her eggs underground.

They live in the eastern part of Australia.

1. Lie on your stomach.
2. Place your palms down near your chest.
3. Lift your chest and head slightly.
